Position description

The Department of Medicine at McGill University invites applications for a full-time position as a member of the Contract Academic Staff at the rank of Associate or Full Professor. The incumbent will also be the Head of Non-invasive Cardiology and the Echocardiography Lab at the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC).

Job Duties
The successful candidate should have had formal training in multi-modality cardiac imaging and have experience with national and international collaborations. He/she will establish a vision for non-invasive cardiology at the MUHC. This program will be instrumental in education and advancing research locally and internationally.

The candidate is also expected to be actively involved in all aspects of McGill’s academic mission (teaching and supervision of clinical trainees, graduate students and involvement in academic and administrative committees).

Qualifications and Education requirements
Applicants must hold an MD degree and be eligible for licensure in Quebec as a specialist in Cardiology. Applicants should have nationally and internationally recognized experience in research as well as expertise in non-invasive cardiology and be Royal College certified (or equivalent). Candidates should have strong leadership qualities, a proven track record in basic and/or clinical research. They should have experience in clinical service and training of students, residents and fellows.

All candidates should be fluent in English with a working knowledge of French.
