Executive Medical Director, Physician Engagement & Resource Planning

Interior Health is looking for an Executive Medical Director, Physician Engagement & Resource Planning to join and be a key member of the Medicine & Quality senior leadership team.

The Executive Medical Director, Physician Engagement & Resource Planning works in dyad partnership with Medical Affairs and is instrumental in supporting physician leadership development and key initiatives and partnerships as they relate to medical staff. The EMD actively participates in the development of a strategic and IH-wide comprehensive, data supported plan to address physician recruitment and retention. The EMD leads the NAVIG8 Emerging Medical Leaders Program, which is a program for physicians who aspire to or currently occupy formal administrative leadership positions in the health authority and who wish to augment their medical background with applied operational skills.

Qualifications

  • Current licensure as an MD in BC.
  • A Master’s degree in hospital, healthcare, business administration, or an equivalent degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of 10 years of clinical practice experience and at least 5 years of progressively wmore responsible leadership experience in a healthcare environment.
