Respirology Specialist, Division of Respirology

Trillium Health Partners (THP) is the largest community based academic health network in Ontario, serving over one million residents in the communities of Mississauga, Peel Region, and West Toronto.  The hospital encompasses three main sites – Credit Valley Hospital (CVH), Mississauga Hospital (MH), and Queensway Health Centre (QHC) – offering a full range of acute care hospital services, as well as a variety of community-based specialized programs. The Credit Valley Hospital provides regional services for dialysis and together with Mississauga Hospital and Queensway Health Center-oncology care.

The Division of Respirology at Trillium Health Partners is seeking two (2) full time clinical Respirologists, one (1) at the at the Credit Valley Hospital site and one (1) at the Mississauga Hospital site.

The Division is looking to recruit two (2) Respirologists interested in providing a broad range of respiratory services for our patients, but who will also bring a specific area of interest and expertise within Respirology, to help us continue to develop and enhance the quality of services we can provide.  

For candidates who are qualified, there are opportunities to participate in hospital-based diagnostic services including pulmonary function testing, bronchoscopy, and polysomnography.

All Division members are expected to establish an office practice in the community to help meet the growing needs of the population in the Mississauga-Halton LHIN. All staff physicians within the Medicine program are also required to participate in Medicine Unplanned Care, which can include general medicine call coverage for the ER, overnight coverage for Medicine on the inpatient units, or additional MRP coverage on weekends and holidays.

THP is an academic teaching centre affiliated with the University of Toronto. All professional staff therefore  are expected to participate in teaching of medical students and residents, as well as other health care professions, and have an opportunity to participate in clinical and applied research. Participation in administrative, educational, and/or research activities with the University of Toronto is also encouraged. Excellent interpersonal skills and a commitment to an inter-professional model of care are essential

The applicant will have completed a Royal College approved Fellowship in Respirology and have a fundamental alignment with the vision and philosophy of the Trillium Health Partners' Medicine Program.
