William Osler Health System (“Osler”) is a hospital system that serves 1.3 million residents of Brampton, Etobicoke, and surrounding communities.   Osler has three hospital sites: Brampton Civic Hospital, Etobicoke General Hospital and the Peel Memorial Centre for Integrated Health and Wellness, as well as a 30 bed Reactivation Care Unit located at Humber – Church Street Site and Withdrawal Management Centre located at 135 McLaughlin Road in Brampton.

William Osler Health System is currently recruiting a new Vice President, Medical Affairs, Research & Academics.  The VP-MA will provide leadership to Medical Staff with respect to their professional and clinical activities and direct all aspects of medical care within programs in the organization.  They will build and sustain highly collaborative relationships to build a culture of quality, focusing on inter-professional collaboration and education. The VP-MA will collaborate with leaders across the organization to develop a vision for the future of research and academics at William Osler Health System. They will create viable partnerships internally and across the broader health system to explore healthcare innovations, and embed innovations in the operations of Osler.   

To be successful in the role, you are a licensed physician, or eligible for licensure, by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario and ideally possess additional leadership credentials such as an MBA or MHA or equivalent.  In addition, you possess a minimum of ten years of progressively responsible leadership experience within a large complex multi-site organization.   You are a leader with a reputation to inspire followership through your ability to develop a compelling vision for the future.  You lead by example, demonstrating accountability for your own behaviours and practices and motivate others to do the same.  A skilled networker and collaborator, you have extensively engaged with the health system in Ontario and have demonstrated the ability to forge partnerships that benefit your organization and the system as a whole.   If this sounds like you, this may be the opportunity to take your career to the next level.
