Position Profile:

The Regina Area is seeking a Pediatrician with Developmental Pediatrics fellowship training to join its Department of Pediatrics in Regina, Saskatchewan.

The specialist would join 1 Pediatric Clinical Immunologist and Allergist, 16 Pediatricians, 1 Pediatric Nephrologist and 5 Neonatologists. Pediatricians within the department provide a range of clinical services including community clinics, pediatric outpatient ambulatory services, Wascana Children’s Program for children with developmental needs, normal newborn care, a 26 bed NICU and a 28 bed inpatient pediatric teaching unit and high acuity area. Children requiring PICU care are transferred to a provincial PICU in Saskatoon following stabilization.

The University of Saskatchewan is a research-intensive institution with 22,000 students and 7,000 faculty and staff, and a strong reputation for innovation and excellence. The College of Medicine has an intake of 100 students per year with a commensurate number of positions for residency training. Qualifications:

Successful candidates will hold certification from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC) in Developmental Pediatrics and be eligible for regular licensure from the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan (CPSS).  This individual should be a team player, be able to interact effectively with patients, colleagues, staff and management, and function well in a high volume environment with a commitment to provision of high quality patient and family centered care.
