The Nova Scotia Health Rehabilitation Program located in Central Zone is recruiting to the position of full-time hospitalist. The position will involve provision of care to a diverse group of patients admitted to the Nova Scotia Rehabilitation Centre site at Capital Health. The hospitalist, working with the Physiatrist and rehabilitation team, will provide day-to-day medical management of patients receiving rehabilitative care on the inpatient units. The position will be available on or before December 1st, 2021.

The Division of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation is an integral part of the Department of Medicine and provides inpatient, outpatient, outreach, and telehealth services for the Nova Scotia Health as well as the Maritime Provinces.

The Nova Scotia Rehabilitation Centre is a 66-bed facility with special programs for ABI, SCI, MSK, Neuromuscular Rehabilitation, and has excellent interdisciplinary teams that serve as the referral center for the province of Nova Scotia and is located in beautiful Halifax, Nova Scotia. The hospitalist is considered the most responsible physician and is accountable for admission, daily medical as required and discharges.
