Position profile: Saskatchewan Health Authority – Saskatoon along with the University Saskatchewan, Department of Psychiatry, Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, seek full-time and part-time Child and Adolescent Psychiatrists with clinical and academic interests. The successful candidate will possess a strong team approach and join a collegial group practice of Child and Adolescent Psychiatrists who enjoy a broad scope of practice across the continuum of outpatients, acute care and shared call responsibilities. The University of Saskatchewan, College of Medicine, has a province-wide model of distributed medical education. The College of Medicine has a well-resourced framework across the medical education and health continuum that results in quality community partnerships, successful and comparable students across all sites, elevated community health, and better graduate retention. Child and Adolescent Psychiatrists are involved in the teaching of medical learners in Regina and Saskatoon and includes undergraduate medical students, psychiatry residents and residents from other services, as well as continuing medical education initiative supporting Family physician skills enhancement.

Compensation details: Fee For Service is primary modality of payment, plus Tier 1 Sub-Specialist Emergency on call compensation program (SECP), and potential for court related assessments. FFS remuneration at 1.0 FTE estimated $350-400K.

Language of work: Primary- English

Qualifications/Requirements of the position: Candidates must hold certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan. Preference will be given to candidates with Royal College certification in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.

Proof of COVID-19 vaccination will be required to become a member of Practitioner Staff and provide care in Saskatchewan Health Authority facilities.
