The Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Sciences is seeking a Geographic Full Time (GFT) Obstetrician/Gynaecologist. The successful candidate will be eligible for an appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor (or higher depending on current academic rank) in the Rady Faculty of Health Sciences, Max Rady College of Medicine at the University of Manitoba. Remuneration will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Job Description
The successful candidate will have comprehensive obstetrical and gynecological skills with additional competencies relevant to the care of women living in the core area of our city. We are particularly interested in candidates who are prepared to address unmet needs in conventional models of care.

Clinical responsibilities include acting as a consultant obstetrician/gynecologist based at HSC Women’s Hospital. A major requirement will be the care of women with psychiatric disorders, substance use and complex psychosocial issues. Participation in the on-call schedule is essential. Academic responsibilities include mentorship of colleagues, residents and undergraduate students. Leadership and innovation will be important components of these roles.

A strong commitment to medical education will be required including undergraduate classroom teaching, postgraduate lectures, grand rounds, departmental rounds and clinical/bedside teaching. QUALIFICATIONS:
• Current or eligibility for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba specialist registry as a generalist Obstetrician Gynecologist
• Fellowship from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in Obstetrics & Gynecology
• Canadian citizenship or permanent residency
• Eligibility for hospital privileges within Shared Health
• Eligibility for a University of Manitoba teaching appointment
