The Division of Cardiology at the Queen Elizabeth II Health Sciences Centre is seeking a cardiac electrophysiologist.  This opportunity is aimed at those seeking a clinical focus at an academic, tertiary and quaternary care institution.  The QEII Health Sciences Centre is the largest heart rhythm centre in the Maritime provinces, with an approximate catchment area of 1.2 million people.  We perform over 400 invasive electrophysiology procedures/ablations, 200 new ICD implants and 400 pacemakers annually.  The Inherited Heart Disease clinic follows over 500 families with familial conditions and unexplained sudden death. 

Candidates must hold FRCPC or equivalent in Medicine and Cardiology. The successful applicant will be proficient in complex and non-complex ablation and cardiac implantable electronic device implantation, including pacemakers, implantable defibrillators and cardiac resynchronization therapy.  Advanced training in any of the following is considered an asset: genetic cardiology, physiologic pacing, leadless devices, subcutaneous ICD implantation, complex device management or lead extraction.
