PHYSICAN - ADDICTION MEDICINE

Bellwood Health Services is a licensed Hospital accredited with exemplary standing by Accreditation Canada. With over 30 years of experience in the treatment of addiction and related mental health issues, Bellwood is part of the Edgewood Health Network, the largest and most expansive addictions provider in Canada.

A part-time position requiring 2-3 days a week of service is available for a qualified addiction medicine physician. The physician will act as the MRP for patients in treatment, follow them through weekly appointments and cultivate a strong therapeutic alliance. Professional duties include conducting: pre-admission, admission, withdrawal management, and weekly follow up assessments of patients. A passion for working with a vulnerable mental health population is the most important requirement.

Remuneration is a combination of fee for service and a daily stipend and physician’s keep 100% of their OHIP billings. Some on call responsibilities apply and are generously remunerated.
