Plastic Surgeon - Hand

Across our three hospitals and eight satellite sites, Scarborough Health Network (SHN) is shaping the future of care. Our many programs and services are designed around the needs of one of Canada’s most vibrant and diverse communities. We are home to North America’s largest nephrology program, as well as the designated cardiac care and spine centre for Scarborough and surrounding communities to the east. We are proud to be a community-affiliated teaching site for the University of Toronto and partner with a number of other universities and colleges, helping to train the next generation of health care professionals.

The Department of Surgery, Division of Plastic Surgery, at Scarborough Health Network is seeking a plastic surgeon to join a team of eight other full-time plastic surgeons who provide 24/7 call coverage across 3 sites. The successful candidates will be working with a strong, supportive and collegial group of colleagues in a three-site community hospital organization committed to providing high quality, comprehensive clinical services. There are resources to build a practice with a focus on hand surgery.

The successful candidate must be registered or eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario, and have successfully completed a fellowship in Plastic Surgery with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. Additional subspecialty fellowship training in hand surgery would be an asset. Emphasis will be placed on candidates with experience working in a community hospital setting as well as candidates with strong communication skills.
