Playing a pivotal role for the hospitalist medicine service, RMH is seeking a full-time hospitalist who is also leader ready to advance the program’s commitment to safe and high quality practice. This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly collegial, well-established and mutually respectful group of Hospitalist Medicine Physicians.
Reporting to the Chief of Staff and being a member of the Medical Advisory Committee, the Chief, Department of Hospitalist Service will possess an unrestricted CPSO license, ACLS certification and a demonstrated interest in clinical leadership. The successful candidate will have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team atmosphere. Experience in the care of acute care patients is a must; the Chief Hospitalist may have Internal Medicine or Family Medicine training.
Our collegial team of hospitalists provides high quality MRP care to medical inpatients with excellent collaboration from in-house Consultants, well developed policies and procedures, and full support from the Senior Leadership Team. Hospitalists at RMH care for admitted Medical patients, Complex Continuing Care and ALC patients, and work with a skilled team of three full time Nurse Practitioners. Hospitalists may also accept referrals as MRP from the Departments of Internal Medicine and Surgery. RMH has an extremely helpful, efficient and friendly staff who make working here a pleasure.
RMH offers a competitive compensation package for our Chief of Hospitalist Medicine, with a $40K annual stipend for the leadership role. The current hospitalist schedule offers flexibility to achieve your desired work life balance, with the choice of a seven day or five day model. In addition to a competitive daily stipend, all hospitalist billings are paid to the Hospitalists.
Onboarding includes orientation both to the hospital and to the Epic Clinical Information System.
