Emergency Medicine

Lakeridge Health has everything you seek - in your career and beyond. As one of Ontario's largest hospital networks and the dedicated cancer centre for the Central East, we foster a culture that promotes career advancement, learning opportunities and great quality of life. Through our five hospital sites, in Ajax-Pickering, Bowmanville, Oshawa, Port Perry, and Whitby we provide a broad range of healthcare services to a diverse population, with a focus on achieving excellence. One System. Best Health.

Lakeridge Health is currently inviting applications for full and part-time Emergency Medicine Physicians to join a congenial team in our Bowmanville, Oshawa and Port Perry hospitals. Physicians enjoy flexible scheduling and extensive specialty and subspecialty consultation services. These emergency departments range in volume from a small community ED, to a moderate sized ED, to a large, very high volume urban ED. There is a dedicated ED education team providing ongoing quality Continuing Medical Education. Remuneration is fee-for-service (Oshawa) and AFA (Bowmanville and Port Perry).

You will have teaching opportunities through the Lakeridge Health partnership with Queen’s University. Lakeridge Health offers many administrative options for those interested in pursuing physician leadership positions.

The candidate will have certification in Emergency Medicine or significant experience appropriate to the ED and must hold an independent practice licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario. To meet high demand, applications are evaluated on an ongoing basis.

Interested and qualified candidates are encouraged to send a CV and contact information for three referees to:
