The Departments of Medicine at St. Michael's Hospital and University of Toronto are seeking a qualified full-time academic neurologist with advanced training in stroke management. The successful candidate must be eligible for a full-time clinical academic appointment at the rank of Lecturer or Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor at the University of Toronto. The candidate will have an academic position description of Clinician-Teacher (CT), Clinician-Educator (CE), or Clinician in Quality and innovation (CQI).  The expected start date of the position is January 1, 2023, or shortly thereafter.

The successful candidate will hold an MD degree and should have, or be eligible for, certification in Neurology by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO). The successful candidate will also have advanced training in stroke. The successful candidate will also have or be working towards a graduate degree or other advanced training relevant to their area of specialization.  In addition, the successful candidate will participate fully in the relevant educational activities, including supervision of fellowship trainees in Neurology at St. Michael’s Hospital and the University of Toronto and collaborate in clinical research and quality improvement programs. This position will support the large clinical demands in the stroke program at St. Michael’s Hospital. The successful candidate will report to the Head, Division of Neurology at St. Michael’s Hospital. The Division currently consists of 20 full time neurologists with a long history and strong continuing focus on excellence in teaching.

Estimated remuneration will be commensurate with academic rank, qualifications, clinical work and experience.
