Hospitalist – Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation

Hamilton Health Sciences seeks a Hospitalist to join the Acquired Brain Injury Rehabilitation Program at the Regional Rehabilitation Centre.  The position is best suited for those who have experience working with adults who have had a brain injury and/or mental health issues.    The successful candidate will provide support to 20 patients on two inpatient units managing day to day medical issues, liaising with a robust interprofessional team in partnership with a Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation physician who is MRP. Admissions and discharges are three to four per week on average. 

Hours of work are Monday-Friday, 9:00-5:00 on site, but the schedule is flexible if needed. No after hours calls are required at this time. Remuneration is offered with a $300 daily stipend plus fee for service. There is no overhead associated with this position.

The successful candidate will be part of the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Hamilton Health Sciences and will be expected to contribute to the clinical, academic, and research missions of Hamilton Health Sciences and the Division of PM&R.
