Hematology Locum

The Division of Hematology within the Department of Medicine at Queen’s University and Kingston Health Sciences Centre is seeking locum coverage for maternity leave. Hematologists, supported by an excellent multi-disciplinary team, provide in-patient services at the Kingston General Hospital site, a 449-bed tertiary care academic centre.  Ambulatory care is delivered at the Hotel Dieu Hospital site and Cancer Centre of South Eastern Ontario.

The locum term is negotiable, with a soon start date preferred. The role is primarily clinical, including some or all of malignant hematology ward coverage, general hematology in-patient consult coverage, out-patient clinics, and on-call; specifics can be tailored to the successful applicant’s interests. Supervision and teaching of medical students and residents is an integral component.

A highly competitive remuneration is provided. Candidates must be eligible for licensure in Hematology by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario for Independent Practise.
