Emergency Medicine Physicians

Our client, Hanover & District Hospital (HDH), is a full service, fully accredited 24-bed (22 Acute Care beds and 2 ICU beds) community hospital that provides both inpatient and outpatient care to the population of Hanover and surrounding areas.  HDH has state-of-the-art equipment including: 24-hour CT Scan service; an integrated health record; PACS; and computerized physician order entry.  The hospital is located in spectacular Southwestern Ontario close to the beautiful beaches of Lake Huron and Georgian Bay as well as the ski hills at Blue Mountain in Collingwood.

The collegial Emergency Medicine Team provides 24/7 high quality care to a diverse mixture of clinical cases.  With approximately 17,000 ED visits per year, their team of highly skilled, well-trained, experienced, and supportive staff are dedicated to providing exceptional care to their patients.  The Emergency Department provides a full range of services to meet the unscheduled and emergency health care needs for patients of all ages in the region.  HDH is seeking full-time or part-time Emergency Medicine Physicians to contribute to the top tier care provided in the Department of Emergency Medicine.  

Successful candidates will be CCFP-EM, or ABEM, or FRCPC certified, or CCFP certified with Emergency Medicine experience, and must be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario. 

Offering great flexibility to achieve a work/life balance, these positions offer a very attractive alternative-funding plan hourly rate complete with a highly attractive compensation structure, relocation funding, and a very generous $100,000 return of service incentive for full time equivalent positions. 

In addition to Emergency Medicine, very flexible turn key Family Medicine practice opportunities can be customized to suit your desired clinical practice scope.

Physicians at HDH have the opportunity to educate and mentor students and residents from the Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry, professional staff members are eligible to hold a University appointment.
