The Department of Medicine, Dalhousie University/Nova Scotia Health, seeks applications for a position as an Academic Interventional Cardiologist with the Division of Cardiology, at the QEII Health Sciences Centre, Halifax, Nova Scotia. The QEII Health Sciences Centre is the only tertiary care referral center for the province of Nova Scotia, where more than 5300 invasive procedures, between 1800-2000 percutaneous interventions, and more than 180 Transcatheter Aortic Valve Interventions are performed every year. The Mitraclip program was also started last year.

Candidates must hold FRCPC or equivalent certification in Medicine and Cardiology, with specialty training in Adult Interventional Cardiology in either a Royal College Area of Focused Competence (AFC) Diploma Program or an equivalent fellowship program. They must also be eligible to have appropriate licensing for Cardiology with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia. Preference will be given to applicants with advanced skills, for example (but not limited to) complex/high risk coronary intervention, and to those with a strong academic background.
