Oak Valley Health features newly renovated facilities including a new cancer clinic, breast health center, diagnostic imaging center, and medical/surgical units. There is a group of highly motivated and skilled professionals. We are also a training site for UofT trainees. In addition, we have an active expanding research program that supports open phase 3 clinical trials.

Reporting to the Chief Information and Privacy Officer, the Chief Medical Information Officer (CMIO) will promote the utilization of medical informatics in support of best practices implementation at Oak Valley Health. The successful candidate will play a pivotal strategic leadership role partnering with key stakeholders at all levels to implement the Strategic Plan for Information Technology.


The CMIO will advance the practice and profile of medical informatics at MSH by participating on relevant local, regional and provincial eHealth advisory committees; exploring innovative opportunities to improve the interface between clinical practice and technology; and enabling the strategic use of analytics and clinical decision support technologies to advance patient safety and quality initiatives.Possessing a stellar clinical reputation, the optimal candidate will be a practicing generalist or specialist physician with Canadian experience in a community or academic hospital environment and will possess a proven track record of change leadership utilizing informatics. Advanced degree in Business, Health Informatics, or Health Administration would be welcome attributes.
