Vascular Surgeon - Locum
(January 2023 – March 2023)
RVH has experienced tremendous growth over the past decade, including the largest capital project in Simcoe Muskoka history.
The Regional Vascular Program at RVH serves North Simcoe Muskoka LHIN with a catchment area of over 500,000 residents providing comprehensive care in two primary sites: Royal Victoria Regional Heath Centre and Orillia Soldiers Memorial Hospital. The regional service also provides care to patients from all regions of the LHIN and plays an essential role in the support of other regional programs including stroke prevention and regional renal dialysis program.
The Regional Vascular program is looking for someone to assist with call coverage, specifically on weekends, throughout January, February and March and will provide a $2500 weekend stipend.
The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate experience and training in contemporary management of vascular disease appropriate for a vascular referral centre. The successful applicant’s clinical skill set must include facility with surgical, endovascular (both aortic and peripheral), and hybrid interventions for arterial and venous disease. He/She will be expected to show evidence of interpersonal and collaborative skills and initiative to further advance the clinical and academic productivity of the regional vascular service.
Applicants must have a Fellowship in Vascular Surgery, certification from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and be eligible for licensure in the Province of Ontario.
