Nephrologist Opportunity, Nanaimo, British Columbia
Island Health has an exciting opportunity with the Division of Nephrology. We are seeking a full-time general nephrologist to join the Nanaimo clinical group of 6 physicians. Our program supports an in-centre dialysis and consultation service, a busy kidney care specialty clinic, and a large community and home dialysis population. In addition, we provide post-transplant care through our regional transplant program.
The ability to navigate advanced care planning discussions is essential. Experience placing bedside peritoneal catheters, or willingness to acquire that skill will be considered an asset. Additional training or experience in sub-specialty areas of nephrology such as transplantation, GN, and dialysis or medical leadership will be considered a distinguishing attribute.
