Infectious Diseases Specialist

The Division of Internal Medicine at Quinte Health Belleville General Hospital is seeking an Infections Disease Specialist.

Quinte Health is accepting applications for an Infectious Diseases Specialist to join the Medicine Department. Candidates must possess exceptional interpersonal & collaborative skills, be dedicated to service excellence, and a strong team player. Participation in the internal medicine call roster will be part of the contribution. Participation in training of residents/medical students is also desirable. Candidates must have their infectious disease Fellowship and be registered with the CPSO.

Belleville General Hospital has 238 beds including 21 ICU beds, a busy emergency room, full imaging support including nuclear medicine, a multi-slice CT scanner with a Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) and an MRI.

Members of the Department of Medicine and Critical Care work in a collegial atmosphere and include specialists in cardiology, critical care, general internal medicine, gastroenterology, nephrology, endocrinology and oncology. 

The Quinte Health Department of Medicine and Critical Care operates in close conjunction with our tertiary partners at Kingston General Hospital. There will be opportunities for faculty appointment, resident supervision, and a variety of CME opportunities in conjunction with Queen’s University.

Successful applicants will possess Royal College certification in General Internal Medicine and Infectious disease and will be eligible for independent licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario. 

Excellent communication and team skills, and demonstrated leadership potential will be an asset.
