Lakeridge Health is currently inviting applications for two full-time surgeons to join the Division of Urology and our group of 7 full time members, serving Durham Region and beyond. These new positions will offer an opportunity to join a cohesive group that stresses high quality care and a team-oriented approach to patient care.

The successful applicant will have a broad-based urologic practice with a focus on robotics and will meet a strong need for a clinical presence in the Pickering-Ajax-Whitby corridor. These positions will have operative time primarily at our Lakeridge Health Oshawa and Ajax/Pickering hospitals. Opportunities also exist for outpatient resources at the new Jerry Coughlan Health and Wellness Centre in Pickering.

Call is equally shared amongst members. There is strong support network for a robust clinical practice with Community Office opportunities, Interventional Radiology, Durham Regional Cancer Centre and a partnership with Queen’s University for academic and teaching opportunities. Lakeridge Health offers many administrative options for those interested in pursuing physician leadership positions.

The candidate must hold a fellowship in Urologic Surgery with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and must hold Independent practice licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario. Anticipated start date is July 2023.
