The Division of Critical Care is seeking a Full Time Intensivist

The Intensive Care Unit at the Brampton Civic site is a 24-bed medical-surgical unit and a 13-bed step down unit. The Intensive Care Unit at Etobicoke is a combined medical-surgical Coronary Care Unit, with 15 dedicated Critical Care beds. These Intensive Care Units feature a talented multidisciplinary care team working in a patient-centred environment providing support to the medical, oncology, nephrology, surgical and interventional radiology services.  The Intensive Care Units also supports a 24/7 Critical Care Response Team.  This is a corporate position with responsibilities at both sites.

As an affiliated academic community teaching site for the McMaster University Michael G. DeGroote School of Medicine: Family Medicine program and a key clinical partner for the new School of Medicine with Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU), there is ample opportunity to participate in clinical education with medical students and residents.

The successful applicant will have an opportunity to join one of the fastest growing community hospitals offering innovative research opportunities, access to cutting edge technology, and supportive physician wellness programs.  The candidate must have a certificate of registration to practise from the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario and have certification in Critical Care from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.
