Trillium Health Partners (THP) is the largest community based academic health network in Ontario serving over one million residents in the communities of Mississauga, Peel Region and West Toronto.  The hospital encompasses three main sites – Credit Valley Hospital (CVH), Mississauga Hospital (MH), and Queensway Health Centre (QHC) – offering a full range of acute care hospital services, as well as a variety of community-based specialized programs including the Peel Regional Cancer Centre.

The Division of Respirology at Trillium Health Partners is seeking one (1) full time clinical Respirologist, to join our team and be primarily based at the Mississauga Hospital site.

The Division of Respirology is comprised of a dedicated group of Respirologists working at two sites (Credit Valley Hospital and Mississauga Hospital).  The Division provides a full spectrum of Respirology consultations and related services including opportunities to participate in hospital-based diagnostic services such as pulmonary function testing, bronchoscopy, polysomnography, Stage 1 cardiopulmonary exercise testing, as well as pulmonary rehabilitation and urgent respirology clinic.

The Division is looking to recruit a Respirologist interested in providing a broad range of respiratory services for our patients, but who will also bring a specific area of interest and expertise within Respirology, to help us continue to develop and enhance the quality of services we can provide.

All Division members are expected to establish an office practice in the community to help meet the growing needs of the population.  All professional staff within the Medicine Program are also required to participate in unplanned care within the Medicine program, which may include Internal Medicine coverage in the Emergency Department (i.e. on-call), most responsible physician (MRP) responsibilities for Respirology and/or general medicine in-patients.

The organization is an affiliated academic teaching centre with the University of Toronto. The preferred candidate would be expected to participate in teaching of undergraduate and postgraduate medical learners, and also have the opportunity to participate in clinical and applied research.
