Two diagnostic radiologists are required to join a group of 8 community radiologists located at the Dartmouth General Hospital site of the Central Zone of the Nova Scotia Health Authority.  These positions are to accommodate increasing workload due to the addition of a new MRI in 2023. The candidate will be an FRCPC or equivalent in Diagnostic Radiology and be eligible for a full license in Nova Scotia.  For at least one of these positions, preference will go to individuals with fellowship training in musculoskeletal radiology.

The Dartmouth General Hospital site is a regional hospital serving the inpatient and outpatient needs of the Halifax Regional Municipality.  The diagnostic imaging department performs 96,000 exams per year.  The Dartmouth General Hospital is home to the one of the busiest emergency departments in Nova Scotia and an Emergency Department expansion has just been announced by the Provincial Government.  Currently there are 8 operating rooms and 176 funded hospital beds which will be increasing by approximately 100 over the next 5 years.

All qualified candidates are encouraged to apply; however, in accordance with Canadian immigration requirements, Canadian citizens and permanent residents of Canada will be given priority.
