Respirology - Locum

The Division of Respiratory Medicine at Vancouver General Hospital (VGH) is seeking TWO Locums in General Respirology.  We are looking for individuals with interest and expertise in managing interstitial lung disease and airways disease. The successful candidates will work on the multidisciplinary VGH inpatient and consultation services, as well as the general Respiratory outpatient clinic at VGH. Candidates will have the opportunity to work with a wide range of medical professionals on a dynamic, multidisciplinary team. 

 

The VGH Division of Respiratory Medicine offers a comprehensive range of clinical programs, including dedicated clinics in severe asthma, interstitial lung disease, pulmonary hypertension, and one of the largest lung transplantation programs in Canada. VGH is the largest tertiary care hospital in Vancouver, offering specialized care to residents of greater Vancouver and across the province of British Columbia.

Timing and Duration – Flexible start date. Locum duration will range from 3-12 months depending on candidate availability and institutional needs. 

Qualifications / Requirements of the positions – All applicants must be eligible for a medical license with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia, must hold a Royal College certification in Respiratory Medicine, and have an  established track record of providing high quality Respirology consultation and teaching.
