Intensivist – Milton Hospital Site


The Department of Medicine at Milton District Hospital is seeking a full-time Intensivist.

The city of Milton is located in the Greater Toronto Area and is the fastest growing community in Ontario. Milton District Hospital is one of Halton Healthcare’s three sites. A 330,000 square foot expansion opened in October 2017 and offers a brand-new intensive care unit, surgical suites, emergency department, diagnostics, and inpatient units.


You will join our existing group of 3 Intensivists in a 10-bed level 3 ICU.


MDH has a closed-model ICU which is managed by an Intensivist during the day. The successful candidate will be responsible for management of Critical Care patients for approximately 13 weeks a year. The candidate will also participate in the internal medicine consultation service and share in the internal medicine on-call coverage, including after-hours coverage of the ICU.


The successful candidate will promote and exemplify excellence in professional practice and conduct, be licensed or eligible for a license to practice in Ontario, be certified by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and have (or be eligible for) subspecialty certification in Critical Care Medicine.
