Trillium Health Partners (THP), the largest community based academic health network in Ontario, is seeking an Obstetrician / Gynecologist to join our team in a Locum capacity for a 1 year term. THP serves over one million residents in the communities of Mississauga, Peel Region and West Toronto. The hospital encompasses three main sites – Credit Valley Hospital (CVH), Mississauga Hospital (MH), and Queensway Health Centre (QHC) – offering a full range of acute care hospital services, as well as a variety of community-based specialized programs including the Peel Regional Cancer Centre which serves both the Central West and Mississauga Halton LHINs. THP is affiliated with the University of Toronto, and is the primary teaching site for the U of T Mississauga Academy of Medicine and provides postgraduate teaching to obstetrics and gynecology residents of all levels.

The Women’s and Children’s Health platform at THP provides care for 8,500 births, over 5,500 gynecologic procedures, approximately 6,000 paediatric ambulatory visits, 47,000-50,000 pediatric ER visits, and admission of close to 2,000 children in a typical year. The NICU is a level 2C nursery and THP supports a robust maternal fetal medicine program - one of the few community programs in the Greater Toronto Area that provides comprehensive high risk obstetrical care.

The position represents an opportunity to join a team of dedicated healthcare professionals who work collaboratively together to provide evidence based care in a progressive organization. This locum position will be primarily based at the Mississauga Hospital Site. The successful candidate will be licensed and in good standing in Ontario or will be eligible for a license to practice in Ontario. The applicant will have completed a fellowship in Obstetrics / Gynecology from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, will possess strong interpersonal and teaching skills, and will have a proven ability to work effectively as a team member within a best practice environment. The applicant should have a fundamental alignment with the vision and philosophy of THP's Women' Health Program including a willingness to participate in teaching, research and innovation. The successful candidate will share call coverage responsibilities for obstetrics and gynecology at the Mississauga site and share hospital based operating room and clinic resources with the other members of the Ob/gyn team across sites.
