The Department of Medicine, Dalhousie University / Nova Scotia Health, seeks applications for a position as an academic Respirologist in the Division of Respirology, located at the QEII Health Sciences Centre in Halifax, Nova Scotia.  The QEII Health Sciences Centre is a tertiary referral centre for the Maritimes offering a full range of Respiratory Medicine Services. 

The Division of Respirology is one of 15 divisions within the Department of Medicine.  In addition to playing an important clinical role in the Department, division members have excellent opportunities for collaborative educational (including Royal College accredited adult respirology training program) and research endeavours with protected time for scholarly activities to ensure rewarding, fulfilling career development.

The successful candidate will provide both in-patient and out-patient clinical service in an academic setting.  Participation in undergraduate and postgraduate education is expected.  Experience or additional training in interstitial lung diseases is preferred; other clinical areas being considered include severe asthma, sleep medicine, lung transplantation, and cystic fibrosis.

Candidates must hold FRCPC certification in Internal Medicine with subspecialty certification in Respirology and must be eligible for specialty licensure in Nova Scotia. 

An attractive remuneration and benefits package through an alternative funding plan will apply. Academic appointment ranking will be based on qualifications and experience.
