Surgical Assistants – Oakville Hospital

Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital is looking for surgical assistants to join our growing and highly collegial OR teams.

Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital (OTMH) is part of Halton Healthcare and provides exemplary community-based care. Our surgical services include General Surgery, Orthopedics, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Urology, Vascular Surgery and ENT. Billing is OHIP fee-for-service for daytime elective surgical assisting. After-hours and weekend on-call shifts are supported by a HOCC stipend as well. OTMH is a state-of-the-art community hospital with a busy surgical service. It is easily accessible from most areas of the GTA as well as Hamilton and communities to the west. The ideal candidate will hold certification from the CFPC or RCPSC, as well as an independent practice license with the CPSO. Skills and experience in surgical assisting are preferred but orientation and training will be provided. New graduates are welcome.
