Infectious Disease Specialist – Term Position (1 year)

With an expanding volume of service across the five sites at Lakeridge Health, we are seeking an Infectious Disease Specialist to join our dynamic team. Applicants will preferably have an interest in general Infectious Diseases and will be encouraged to provide outpatient infectious disease care to a growing community. This position involves covering Infectious Diseases in-patient consultation service (11-12 wks/yr).  There is no Internal Medicine call required.  Lakeridge Health offers medical, surgical and critical care subspecialty support.  Opportunities for outpatient clinical activity include sharing time in a hospital based rapid referral ID clinic, Positive Care Clinic (focusing on HIV and chronic viral hepatitis) and joining an established general Infectious Disease clinic in the community.  There will be opportunities to participate in Infectious Diseases clinical research including clinical trials, as well as participation in medical education through Lakeridge Health's collaboration with Queen's University.  You must be RCPSC certified in Infectious Diseases, or eligible for certification in 2023.

Remuneration is based on the OHIP fee for service, with a HOCC on-call stipend. Applicants must have certification in Infectious Diseases from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and must be licensed with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario.
