Radiologist with Neuroradiology + MSK Fellowship Training

Health Sciences North/Horizon Santé-Nord (HSN) is recruiting health care professionals who have a keen interest in affecting change within its dynamic health care system. As the tertiary care referral centre for the entire Northeastern Ontario region, HSN serves a catchment population of over 600,000 residents.

The Department of Medical Imaging at Health Sciences North is currently recruiting a permanent full-time Radiologists with Musculoskeletal and Neuroradiology Fellowship training. The Department offers flexibility in scheduling, a medically diverse environment, and an opportunity for great personal and professional growth.

Candidates must be eligible for independent licensure in Ontario and have obtained or be eligible to obtain speciality qualifications from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. Qualified restricted or academically licensed physicians will also be considered on a case by case basis. English language skills are required, French language skills would be considered an asset.

The successful applicant will be responsible for: reading multi-modality diagnosis exams (predominantly neuroradiology and MSK radiology), performing MSK procedures such as joint injections and arthrograms, and participating in general on-call responsibilities. Inpatient services will be completed at the HSN main site (41 Ramsey lake Road, Sudbury).  Average compensation ranges from $400-500,000 per year via fee-for-service billings through OHIP.

All physicians are expected to seek academic appointment at the Northern Ontario School of Medicine University (NOSM U), and become involved in teaching undergraduate and postgraduate trainees. Research opportunities are also available with HSN’s affiliated research institute, HSNRI.
