The Division of Dermatology within the Department of Medicine at Queen’s University invites applications for the position of an Academic Dermatologist. The Division of Dermatology provides specialist clinical care to a large catchment area at Kingston Health Sciences Centre. Clinical responsibilities will primarily revolve around general dermatology, through dermatology outpatient clinics and the dermatology in-patient consultation service.
The successful candidate will have major clinical responsibilities and will be expected to demonstrate exemplary clinical service. The successful candidate must also demonstrate strong potential for teaching at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels, as well as exhibit a strong potential for innovative scholarly contributions (in research, quality assurance, and/or education). The successful candidate must also demonstrate strong leadership skills, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a collaborative environment. The incumbent will be expected to make contributions through service to the Department, the Faculty, the University, and/or the broader community.
Candidates must be eligible for licensure in Dermatology with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario. Preference will be given to those who either hold or are eligible for certification by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in Dermatology.
