Humber River Health (HRH) is a prominent healthcare facility in Canada, equipped with state-of-the-art technology, catering to a wide range of medical needs. It serves a diverse population of over 850,000 individuals residing in the northwest Greater Toronto Area. HRH operates 722 acute inpatient beds with 3,400 staff, approximately 700 physicians, and over 1,000 volunteers. HRH currently includes the Wilson site, a 656-bed full service acute care facility that opened in 2015, and the Finch and Church sites, known as the "Reactivation Care Centres” (RCCs). The RCCs represent a unique partnership among multiple hospitals in the GTA with a focus on high quality patient recovery. A 356-bed long-term care facility “Humber Meadows” has recently opened at the Finch Avenue site.

UROLOGY SURGEON
Division and Program Overview
The Division of Urology currently has a team of 10 dynamic surgeons with a wide breadth of practice. Our Division has an active surgical robotics program as well as a number of other pieces of specialized devices including, state-of-the-art endourology equipment, GreenLight Laser and Blue Light Cystoscopy.
Position Summary
HRH is currently seeking a Full-time Urology Surgeon to join a large volume practice.
The position involves all aspects of patient care, including the evaluation, management, and treatment of surgical patients. Candidates with experience in urologic oncology and minimally invasive and robotic surgery is an asset.
The successful candidate will be expected to cover on-call requirements consistent with an equal distribution amongst the division members. Your access to hospital resources, including operating and cystoscopy time, will grow as our senior surgeons retire over the next 10 months.
Qualifications
The successful candidate must have a strong general clinical urology background and a FRCSC qualification in urology or equivalent. The candidate is a member of, or is eligible for membership with, the College of Physicians & Surgeons of Ontario.
As a member of TAHSN, the Division of Urology at HRH is part of the core community rotation for the University of Toronto residency-training program and has a post-graduate fellowship-training program in urologic surgery. The successful candidate will have experience and interest in clinical research and education initiatives including teaching and supervision of medical students and residents. The successful applicant is expected to apply for a faculty position at the University of Toronto, Department of Surgery.
