We are currently seeking an Orthopedic Surgeon to join our dynamic surgical team at our Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital site.  Specific fellowship experience in sports medicine with a focus on knee arthroscopy and ligament reconstruction is required. The successful candidate would also be responsible for fracture care of the upper and lower extremities with access to a dedicated trauma room.

What we’re looking for:

  • Advanced fellowship training in sports medicine focused on the knee
  • Comfort with operative treatment of upper and lower extremity trauma.
  • Must have certification or be eligible for certification in Orthopedic Surgery from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.
  • Must have an independent license or be eligible for an independent license in the Province of Ontario
  • Experience and / or knowledge of quality-based procedure funding, provincial MSK initiative and Bundled Care is an asset.
  • Must fulfill the roles of the CanMEDS framework.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A strong track record of working collaboratively with others in a multidisciplinary environment
  • Proven leadership capability in working with multiple providers, key stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
  • Compassionate, reliable, self-directed professional who can work effectively and collaboratively with the team.
