REPRESENTING MORE THAN 44 000 MEMBERS across the country, the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC) is the professional organization responsible for establishing standards for the training, Certification, and lifelong education of family physicians and for advocating on behalf of the specialty of family medicine, family physicians, and their patients. The CFPC accredits postgraduate family medicine training in Canada’s 17 medical schools.

The CFPC is seeking a dynamic individual to be a leader in our Academic Family Medicine Administration and Accreditation department  and enhance the provision of services on behalf of the CFPC. Join our senior advisory team as,

Accreditation Unit

Reporting to the Executive Director, Academic Family Medicine, the Director, Accreditation Unit is responsible for strategic and operational oversight of the family medicine postgraduate accreditation standards and process at medical schools in Canada. Representing the CFPC on the Canadian Residency Accreditation Consortium (CanRAC), and in collaboration with CanRAC partners, this position advises and represents the CFPC internally and externally on all accreditation matters.

Leading with authenticity, courage and a positive approach, the new Director will have a record of accomplishment and experience in leadership positions related to accreditation. The successful candidate will bring a strong business acumen and customer focus; demonstrated people leadership experience; have expert communication, interpersonal and presentation skills; and have a demonstrated ability to lead critical thinking that revolves around complex issues.

A Family Physician with MD degree and CCFP designation is required, and bilingualism (English/French) is preferred.
