The Department of Medicine at Dalhousie University / Nova Scotia Health is currently accepting applications for a General Internist position with expertise in research, within the Division of General Internal Medicine at the QEII Health Sciences Centre in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Role Description:

The successful candidate will be an integral part of the inpatient and outpatient clinical care team, actively contributing to the Clinical Teaching Units and taking part in undergraduate and postgraduate medical education. This position places particular emphasis on research expertise, with up to 50% protected time. Candidates must have completed a 4- or 5-year residency program in Internal Medicine / General Internal Medicine and hold specialty certification in Internal Medicine from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (or equivalent).  Royal College General Internal Medicine Subspecialty certification is an asset. Eligibility for licensure in Nova Scotia is required.

Division of General Internal Medicine:

The Division of General Internal Medicine comprises 11 full time and 8 part time members and is one of 15 divisions within the Department of Medicine. We are dedicated to providing exceptional clinical care, education, and research. Compensation and Academic Rank:

An attractive remuneration and benefits package through an alternative funding plan will apply. Academic appointment ranking will be based on qualifications and experience.
