Senior Staff Specialist/Staff Specialist/Senior Medical Officer/Visting Medical Officer (GP)

Location:                     Prison Health Services, Maryborough Correctional Centre 

Eligible Applicants who move to Queensland from an interstate or international jurisdiction to take up permanent employment may receive up to $20,000 incentive payments under the Queensland Health Workforce Attraction Scheme 

Remuneration: 

You will receive a competitive remuneration package value up to AU$461,256 p.a., comprising salary between $176,802 - $258,910 p.a. (f/t) or salary rates between $84.71 - $124.05 p.h. (p/t) (L13-L27), motor vehicle allowance, professional development allowance, professional development leave 3.6 week p.a., professional indemnity cover and private practice arrangements. Overtime and on-call allowances will be negotiated with the successful applicant upon appointment. Competitive salary rates between $141.97 - $152.73 p.h. (VMO1-VMO3). Superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) will be applied additionally to the total remuneration value. The Role: 

The role of the Senior Medical Officer is to provide high quality, best practice primary health care to prisoners within the assigned scope of practice in Maryborough Correctional Centre, referring patients to hospitals and specialist clinics and other health services as required.
