This key mandate involves collaborating and working with the Vice-President of the Medicine Programs, the Administrative Program Director and other members of the leadership team to ensure the implementation of the programs’ vision and goals, through teamwork and the effective and efficient utilization of program resources. As a Medicine specialist, you will bring expertise to the programs and provide leadership focusing on patient care, safety, resource utilization, budget and quality outcomes within the Medicine Programs.

The successful candidate will have experience, formal medical administrative leadership training, and excellent clinical, leadership and interpersonal skills, including communication, mediation, objectivity and conflict resolution. A time commitment of approximately one day/week to fulfil administrative responsibilities will be required. Administrative compensation is competitive and clinical practice remuneration will be based on the fee-for-service OHIP model.

Requirements

Candidates must be certified by the RCPSC in General Internal Medicine and hold, or be eligible to hold, an Independent CPSO.
