Northern Health is seeking a family physician with C-section and obstetric skills to join the inter-professional medical team.
Join a team of dedicated medical professionals including 5-6 family physicians, 2 nurse practitioners and itinerant specialists who provide psychology; rheumatology; respirology; and dermatology services. The clinic is a training site for UBC medical, NP, and RN students.
Clinic hours are Mon – Fri, 9am – 5pm. This position will provide full service family practice as well as obstetrics and surgical delivery call rota, ER shifts, and outpatient/inpatient services at GR Baker Memorial Hospital.
This is a fee for service opportunity with a $200,000 income guarantee option and no overhead for physicians seeking support in their first year. ER shifts, C-sections and obstetrics would be billed on a fee for service basis. Fees for ER and operative deliveries paid via MOCAP.
GR Baker Memorial Hospital is a 36 bed acute care facility. Services on-site include internal medicine, ENT, general surgery, psychiatry and a community cancer clinic.
The population of Quesnel is approx.10,000 with another 13,000 residing in the surrounding area.
