Hospitalists – Full Time/Part Time/Locum

Brockville General Hospital is a progressive community hospital, with > 4000 admissions annually, serving a referral area of 125,000.

The city of Brockville (pop. 22,000) is located on the St. Lawrence River, in the beautiful Thousand Islands region. The perfect place to practise and play.

 Practice Profile

• MRP for adult medical in patients  (52 Acute care beds)

• Provision of medical care and support for surgical/rehab/restorative care patients

• 0800-1700 hrs daily

• Week long and  weekend opportunities  

• Flexible, shared  after hours / weekend call  (1:3 Weekdays / 1:2 weekend days)

  Remuneration

• FFS with $1,200 / day income guarantee weekdays, $1,500 / day  weekends

• On Call stipend  $350 / day weekday & $700 / day weekends

  Staffing / Hospital Resources

• 3 Hospitalists  Mon – Fri

• 2 Hospitalists  Sat / Sun

• EMR (Quadramed) with remote systems access

• CT / PACs / Bedside Ultra Sound / telemetry

• Full complement of specialist backup available locally

• Access to tertiary care services  1 hour away in Kingston and Ottawa

• Billing support provided

• Independent Registration with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario
