The Department of Medicine, Dalhousie University/Nova Scotia Health Authority seeks applications for a Locum Rheumatologist for a five month term (or for a one-year term as a 0.42 FTE) with the Division of Rheumatology at the QEII Health Sciences Centre in Halifax, Nova Scotia.  This is a combined Hospital/University position.  Academic rank with Dalhousie University will be dependent upon qualifications and experience. 

The successful candidate will participate in the delivery of rheumatologic care in an outpatient ambulatory teaching clinic. They will have completed a residency program in Rheumatology, and will hold specialty certification in Rheumatology from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (or equivalent) and be eligible for licensure in Nova Scotia. 

The Division of Rheumatology provides specialized medical and consultative care for Atlantic Canadians with inflammatory arthritis and rheumatic diseases, as well as providing undergraduate education and residency training.  Division members are also actively engaged in national and international research committees and networks, and they work with patient care groups and alliances to advocate for improved, alternative models of care.
