Reporting to the Vice President, Medical Operations with accountabilities to the Chief Technology Officer, the Chief Medical Information & Innovation Officer (CMI2O) will advance the practice of medical informatics and innovation at MSH.  The successful candidate will play a pivotal strategic leadership role partnering with key stakeholders at all levels to implement the Strategic Plan for Information Technology and Innovation.

The CMI2O will advance the practice and profile of innovation and medical informatics at MSH by participating on relevant local, regional and provincial eHealth advisory committees; exploring innovative opportunities to improve the interface between clinical practice and technology; and enabling the strategic use of analytics and clinical decision support technologies to support patient safety and quality initiatives.

Possessing a stellar clinical reputation, the optimal candidate will be a practicing generalist or specialist physician with experience in a community or academic hospital environment and will possess a proven track record of change leadership in innovation and informatics.  Advanced degree in Business, Health Informatics, or Health Administration would be welcome attributes.
