Reporting to the Vice President, Medical Operations with accountabilities to the Chief Technology Officer, the Chief Medical Information & Innovation Officer (CMI²O) will advance the practice of medical informatics and innovation at MSH.  The successful candidate will play a pivotal strategic leadership role partnering with key stakeholders at all levels to implement the Strategic Plan for Information Technology and Innovation.

The CMI²O will advance the practice and profile of innovation and medical informatics at MSH by participating on relevant local, regional and provincial eHealth advisory committees; exploring innovative opportunities to improve the interface between clinical practice and technology; and enabling the strategic use of analytics and clinical decision support technologies to support patient safety and quality initiatives.

Possessing a stellar clinical reputation, the optimal candidate will be a practicing generalist or specialist physician with experience in a community or academic hospital environment and will possess a proven track record of change leadership in innovation and informatics.  Advanced degree in Business, Health Informatics, or Health Administration would be welcome attributes.
