Northern Health is seeking a dermatologist to provide services in the Northwest region of British Columbia. The dermatologist would be able to choose the community he/she would work out of and enjoy the ability to travel in the NW region.

One of the communities to choose from is Terrace, which is the regional hub for the Northwest. Located in Terrace is Mills Memorial Hospital, a fully accredited, 44 bed, acute care facility. Patient visits to the busy ER in Terrace are varied and reflects the population and activities in the area. Terrace is serviced by 

  • Regional psychiatry unit

  • Regional dialysis unit

  • Largest cancer clinic in Northwest British Columbia, including a regional breast cancer diagnostics program

  • Regional 5 bed ICU

  • Medical Imaging Unit includes regional Nuclear Medicine

  • CT

  • Echocardiography

  • MRI

  • Digital mammography

  • Stereotactic breast biopsy

  • Regional pathologist services 

Other facilities include Long Term Care, Community Health and Home Care Nursing.

In order to be eligible for licensure in BC, your postgraduate training must meet the requirements of the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia. Post graduate training must be obtained from an accredited and approved training program in a jurisdiction sanctioned by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.
