Clinical Faculty Position, Pediatric Respirology

Dalhousie University’s Faculty of Medicine and the IWK Health Centre in Halifax, Nova Scotia are inviting applications to fill a full-time (1.0 FTE) clinical faculty position in the Division of Respirology, Department of Pediatrics, Faculty of Medicine.

The IWK Health Centre is a tertiary care children’s and women’s facility serving the Maritime Provinces of Canada.  The candidate will join two other physicians in the Division of Respirology. The Division provides care to children with a wide variety of respiratory problems and is the regional Centre for Cystic Fibrosis.  In addition to patient care, the successful applicant will contribute to the academic mission of the Department of Pediatrics through research and teaching.

Required qualifications include an MD degree and FRCPC in Pediatrics (or equivalent), with certification in Pediatric Respiratory Medicine (or equivalent).   Eligibility for medical licensure in the Province of Nova Scotia is essential.  Expertise in pediatric flexible bronchoscopy is required.

Qualified applicants will be appointed at an academic professorial level commensurate with their experience and qualifications within the Dalhousie University Department of Pediatrics.  Cross-appointment to relevant Departments is possible for interested candidates.
