The Department of Surgery, Alberta Health Services-Calgary Zone and the University of Calgary invite applications for a Fellowship trained General Surgeon to work at the South Health Campus. This will be a locum position covering the practice of a surgeon from July 1, 2019 to December 1, 2019.

Qualifications include an MD, a Fellowship in the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in General Surgery with additional fellowship training in colorectal surgery is preferred and eligibility for licensure in the Province of Alberta.

The successful applicant will be expected to fulfill the clinical obligations of the surgeon on-leave including performing surgery on currently booked and new general surgery and colorectal surgery patients, follow-up of existing patients and consultation on new patients, overseeing residents and medical students and taking part in the Section on-call schedule.
