Auckland City Hospital is the largest Hospital in New Zealand, providing secondary and tertiary care to patients from around the country and Pacific Islands. Adult Emergency Department is an outstanding facility with a fantastic case mix that ensures you are able to practice emergency medicine at the highest level. 

We are actively involved in clinical and university based teaching ( including the ACME course, ACLS, Ultrasound, ED thoracotomy and difficult airway courses) and is currently involved in a number of key national and international research projects. There are definitely opportunities to grow your skills in high fidelity clinical simulation, toxicology, research and retrieval medicine.

As an ideal candidate for this Fellow position, you will be a Senior Emergency Medicine Trainee who is looking to advance your skills and acquire new skills. You should be either registered or be eligible for vocational registration within the scope of General Medicine with the Medical Council of New Zealand.

Our Fellow position is accredited by ACEM as Emergency Medicine Advanced training or Special skills training posts. The Fellow positions that we have available are as follow:

•Simulation (ACEM Special skills)
•Pre-Hospital and Retrieval Medicine (ACEM Special skills)
•Medical Education (ACEM Advanced training)
•Trauma Fellow (ACEM Advanced training)
•Toxicology Fellow (ACEM Advanced training)
•Ultrasound Fellow (ACEM Advanced training)
