Pediatric Anesthesiologist

The Department of Anesthesia and Pain Medicine at The Hospital for Sick Children is inviting applications for the position of Lecturer of Pediatric Anesthesiologist or higher. This is a permanent, full-time position. The effective date of this appointment is immediate.

The candidate must have a strong clinical/educational background, with advanced Fellowship training in pediatric anesthesia as well as pediatric anesthesia. The successful candidate is expected to complement the Division’s academic, educational and research productivity. Additional responsibilities include clinical pediatric and pediatric cardiac anesthesia practice, research, education, and administrative responsibilities as required by a staff cardiac anesthesiologist.

The candidate must be eligible for appointment at the rank of Lecturer or higher at the University of Toronto. Evidence of excellence in teaching and research is required.  The candidate must have a strong academic/research background, hold an advanced MD University Degree. The candidate will be expected to develop an academic plan with clear deliverables at the 1, 2 and 3 year mark. In addition, he/she will be eligible for certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, and licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
