Effective immediately, the Division of Hematopathology and Transfusion Medicine, Vancouver Acute, is seeking a Locum Hematopathologist.

Vancouver Acute is the largest tertiary care and teaching institution in Western Canada providing care for adult medical and surgical populations, supporting organ transplant services, the provincial leukemia/bone marrow transplant program, oncology services, complex cardiac surgery, reconstructive orthopedics, and is a regional trauma centre.

The Division of Hematopathology serves as a regional/provincial hub for Vancouver Coastal Health. There is a wide spectrum of routine and referral hematopathology, flow cytometry, transfusion medicine, coagulation, autoimmune and transplant immunology supporting provincial leukemia/bone marrow, solid organ transplant programs, and a large group of general haematologists.

Applicants will hold RCPSC certification in Hematological Pathology or equivalent. Any additional formal training, experience, or certification in one of the specialized fields of Hematopathology would be considered an asset.
